As The Marilyn Denis Show's very own eco expert and producer, Candice Batista educates viewers on how to incorporate sustainable environmentally friendly choices as part of their everyday living.
Candice began her career as a weather broadcaster at The Weather Network, where she covered major weather events across Canada and around the world.
In 2006 Candice launched the first-ever local Canadian Eco-themed television show A GREENER TORONTO, which looked at how Torontonians were fostering and facilitating environmental stewardship. Following that, she successfully launched GLOBAL FOOTPRINTS and @ISSSUE EARTHH, two documentary series that looked at a wide variety of issues facing the planet today, including the role of factory farming, the effects of fast fashion, and toxins in person care, just to name a few.
Along with her television experience, both in front of and behind the camera, Candice is a regular blogger for Huffington Post.
To date, Candice has lectured to more than 2,000 people. In 2010, she became one of a few select Canadians to be personally trained by former U.S. Vice President and environmental activist Al Gore to help deliver his infamous Inconvenient Truth Presentation.
Currently she runs The Eco Hub, a lifestyle blog about discovering how simple it is to take control of the various corners of your life, and how rewarding it feels to open your eyes to an eco-conscious lifestyle.
