Justin Cerone is the founder of web documentary company "The Sustainable." The company began as a standalone short documentary film about a family of average income that designed their suburban home to be powered by renewable energy and the physics of the natural world. Though a long, tedious (and ingenious) design process, they've lived in the home with all the everyday modern amenities problem-free for ten years completely detached from the grid and have paved the way for others to follow.
The film was selected for a plethora of film festivals and eventually caught the attention of a venture capitalist firm. What was once the standalone film "The Sustainable" is now being expanded into a series of short documentary films highlighting many more environmental game-changers and innovators. The first film appealed to all sides of the political matrix after seeing how practical and easy the sustainable life really is. Thus, the goal of the series is to appeal to everyone, not just to "preach to the choir."
